About Jay D. Kim, D.M.D., M.D.
Dr. Jay D. Kim received his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he studied biopsychology and cognitive science. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree summa cum laude from the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. Dr. Kim subsequently obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and completed an internship in general surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.Dr. Kim completed his six-year residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Department of Surgery, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where he also served as Chief Resident for two years. During his residency, he received extensive training in orthognathic and craniofacial surgery, facial trauma and maxillofacial reconstruction, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery, maxillofacial pathology, and dentoalveolar surgery, including advanced bone grafting and implantology.
