When comedian Ben Stiller revealed he had prostate cancer earlier this week 鈥斅爐wo years after doctors diagnosed and cured the disease 鈥斅爃e credited a PSA test with saving his life.
To learn more about the test that led to Stiller's diagnosis, Buzzfeed spoke with urologist聽Dr. Harry Fisch聽from 国产吃瓜福利.
PSA tests measure levels of prostate-specific antigen and can help doctors determine a patient鈥檚 risk for prostate cancer. The test is controversial however, because of conflicting guidelines about who should get screened and whether the test is necessary.
